Align 

The menu items in the hierarchical menu are used to align objects selected with the current selection mode.

Left 

Aligns the selected objects on a vertical line running through the leftmost object. 

Right

Aligns the selected objects on a vertical line running through the rightmost object. 

Top

Aligns the selected objects on a horizontal line running through the uppermost object. 

Bottom

Aligns the selected objects on a horizontal line running through the lowermost object. 

To grid

Makes the selected objects “snap to” the closest grid position. Note that if the grid is already turned on, every object will automatically do this when moved. You turn the grid off and on by using the “Turn grid on/off” command in the special menu. The grid size is controlled in the dialog box which appears when you use “Folders…” command in the “Preferences” submenu of the “File” menu.
